Voice and Responsibility:
A G5A Weekend With T.M. Krishna

Co-curated by T.M. Krishna and Anuradha Parikh
19-21 December, 2025

How can artists meaningfully respond to the urgencies of our social, cultural, and political landscapes?

Art is more than an aesthetic gesture; it is a way of understanding and shaping the world – one that demands rigor, engagement, and a disciplined practice rooted in inquiry, reflection, and meaningful action.

As G5A turned ten on November 03, we reflect on a decade of creativity, dialogue, and artistic exploration.

At G5A we have relentlessly championed new, experimental, and courageous voices by creating a safe space that celebrates rigor in intent, form-making, and practice. We have given the best technical and team support within our means to ensure the care this pursuit requires. This has sparked so many new ideas, new forms, and new conversations! We are also humbled to learn that we have inspired many others to create similar spaces around the country, at whatever scale and design possible. While the scale and design is critical, the real importance of this movement lies in the idea of creating hubs leading to networks that support independent thinking in the arts.

For the next decade, keeping this in mind, we are committed to focus more acutely on building and reinforcing a vibrant and resilient ecosystem for the arts; especially critical in our current context.
