Guru Purnima : Through Myth & Music
Anam Cara invites you into a two-hour guided evening for Guru Purnima. The full moon, the teachers we have known, and the wisdom that travels across lifelines.
Guru Purnima asks us to remember the teachers we have had. In this telling, those teachers are the planets. Each planet carries a character, a transmission, a raga. The story of the cosmos becomes the story of what shaped us. The evening moves through myth, music, mantra, movement, and stillness, and returns us changed.
This is, at its core, a storytelling experience. Natasha guides the evening as a storyteller, taking guests on a journey that begins in the cosmos and lands in their own lives. The arc is deliberate: we start somewhere, we travel, we arrive somewhere new. Storytelling here is not entertainment; it is a therapeutic and communal act, a way to gain wisdom and healing through the shared experience of myth.
Story Teller
Natasha Mahindra
Natasha Mahindra is the founder of Anam Cara and a certified yoga therapist with training from the Kripalu Center in Massachusetts. Over more than fourteen years, she has created spaces that are both deeply transformative and genuinely intimate – weaving together mythology, breathwork, and somatic practice into experiences that stay with people long after they leave the room. Her work draws on ancient systems of practice for women, Sufi whirling, and dynamic meditation. She brings rigour and warmth in equal measure.
About the Artists
Tanishque
Tanishque is the voice of South Asia’s new wave. A vocalist, composer, and storyteller, his music bridges semi-classical and folk traditions – rooted in his training under Pt. Rajinder Singh of the Patiala Gharana – with the pulse of RnB, Hip Hop, Garage, and electronic music. Having fronted the genre-bending band Pakshee, he now steps into a solo journey defined by stillness, emotional depth, and a commitment to music that is both culturally grounded and globally resonant.
Riverglass
Riverglass is an Indian producer and live electronic artist creating immersive sets inspired by nature, memory, and evolving patterns. Performing fully live, he shapes each set in real time – blending analog synthesizers, drum machines, and textured guitar into deeply atmospheric soundscapes that move between ambient passages, downtempo grooves, and IDM-influenced rhythm. His sets are known for their audio-visual immersion, where sound, space, and projection come together into a unified experience.
Shashwat Prakhar
Shashwat Prakhar is a visual storyteller and immersive experience designer who works at the intersection of physical mediums and technology. A maker at heart, he builds tools and workflows that power projection and spatial environments – curating the visual layer of the evening in close dialogue with the music and mythology unfolding in the room.
