G5A Turns Ten: A Decade of Creativity, Dialogue, and Artistic Exploration

As G5A celebrates its tenth anniversary on November 03, the milestone season reflects on The Role of the Artist—through the lenses of freedom, voice, and solidarity. The anniversary weekend opens with Fragments of a Fugitive Poem, an audio visual installation by Poorna Swami and Amshu Chukki, followed by Together for Peace, a powerful series of dramatic readings presented in solidarity with Palestine.

The celebrations continue with performances by Alif “Faqat,” Super Scary Awesome, and a comedy lineup featuring Punit Pania, Masoom Rajwani, and Ali Babi. Dinner with Mother on the Terrace by PORT Kitchen & Bar offers an intimate evening hosted by Glorious Luna, celebrating drag, chosen family, and care.

Workshops and conversations, including The Good Brunch, will bring together creative professionals to reflect on the media’s role in sustaining cultural ecosystems.

This anniversary marks both a moment of reflection and a celebration of the transformative power of art and the artist’s enduring role in shaping society.
